A fairly easy drive from Rome, only took us three hours and very pretty, passed where we stayed in Citta della Pieve, Chiusi etc. Check in was 2.00p.m. so went and had a local lunch in Florence, it was delicious and cheap as...the lady even asked us where we got to know about them because she said "it is strange to see people like you", mmmm very local and very nice too! Lovely Florence ...! ! ...
Loved pic's of Florence,great City ,getting up high ,in any City ,gives U better look . Would be similar China ,different areas ,different food ,but all adds to holiday . U have certainly covered many country's, where to next ? ? Yes ! U need to see " David " up close . Bet all traveller stake his photo ! ! ! ....thanks again , brings back memory's of 1980 ? Hi Norma, love getting your comments! We have really loved our stay here in Florence. Went out into Chianti yesterday and that was nice had a beautiful stew! You know even with all the lovely food I am craving for a lamb roast with all the trimmings, my first meal to cook when we get home! Head to Venice today, hoping the temperatures drop a little as it has been very, very hot! We are having a relaxing time now even though on the go, the first week with 18 of us was hectic, now I know how tour guides feel, always on the phone arranging this and that co-ordinating guides, transport etc it was pretty full on, even though fantastic having everyone together. Talk soon, love Glor xxx
