Our time in Sicily had come to an end…..and frankly, we were ready. Our last stop in Palermo rekindled our warmth for the province, but still, we found ourselves eager to move on. With many years of international travel, we had faced many hurdles, but between being eager to depart Sicily and the challenges we faced, it made for some frustration. When you travel, things will occasionally go awry,... Read Full Entry

We love travel so we roll with the bumps. We were glad when the waters smoothed out again.

Sardinia
We loved Sardinia, and sounds like we went to a lot of the same places. We thought Alghero and Bosa were just gorgeous. Your experiences with Easy Jet reminded me of a couple of distasteful experiences we had there (these aside it was beautiful) - getting ripped off by the local hire car company, and some very dodgy accommodation…. Ah well, always gives us bloggers something to write about!

Bolognese.....ahhh

Pasta love!
The food looks delicious! Did you notice a difference in pasta flavours to the mainland? I don't know much about Sardinian food, apart from some Sardinian cheese (like a pecorino) I've had that was seriously outstanding... and on a related note, I'm fairly sure those were freshly shorn sheep that blocked the road :)

The food in Sardinia was very good. We ate our way through this country. Very similar flavors to the mainland but they have an abundance of seafood which made us happy. I agree with you on the sheep.

Ah, what a lovely antidote to Sicily for you. I'm glad you were able to wind down there after the stresses of Sicily, and also the stresses of getting there. Sardinia looks beautiful, and it seems just the perfect place to relax and wind down your journey. The coastal scenery near Bosa looks lovely, and I love the photo of the ledge - lol!

Sardinia is so clean compared to Sicily and has nice sidewalks. The coastal scenery was lovely.

Sardinia
Sardinia looked like a lovely place to visit and the pasta and desserts (and wine) looks amazing! That was a challenging travel day, but I'm glad things improved for you after that.

What a lovely place to visit. It sounds like you had a better experience of this island, apart from the initial arrival headache.

Sardinia
A lovely island and well worth a visit. We only saw the northern portion so we may need to go back.
