Venice to Perego

Today started with a trip to the local fish and vegetable market in Venice and then another walk around Piazza San Marco before taking the water bus back to the parking building to get the car and continue our travels. Our destination is Perego which in the Province of Lecco located about 35 km northeast of Milan. We are now get into green hiller country and you can tell by the design of the homes that this area gets very cold in winter but its 33 degree today. Our home for the next 4 nights is La Costa which is a converted farmhouse in a small vineyard with terraced ridges all around, just breathtaking. No cellphone coverage and internet is very marginal (hence the delay in bringing our daily blog) and 1 lane stone driveway in to the property but the peace and quiet is wonderful.
