Shopping in La Spezia

Got up at 7am and I said to Mal and Lexie time to get up they said Nnnnooooo More Sleep... so I went back to bed... Mal got up at 8.30 and talked to Roberto while Lexie and I slept in, we woke at 9am and raced to get dressed, left Mal a note to say that we had gone to breakfast because he was still on the phone we raced down to La Muse but they were closed, Giancarlo came out and snuck us in for some tea and toast, donuts and croissant. We decided not to go on any excursions today because they were all to Florence and Pisa and we will visit them when we stay in Florence next week. Instead we thought we would wander through La Spezia, there was a free shuttle bus service that took us to the start of the port and the Concierge said the town was just a few minutes walk she also told us the shops should be closed because it is Sunday. But as luck would have it some of the bargain shops were open and I got to go SHOPPING.... much to Mal's disgust. We got back to the ship about 1.30 pm went up to the One Pool had strawberry daiquiri and mojito's our drinks of choice, we all had a soak in the jacuzzi and Lexie went swimming in the pool, it wasn't very nice today bit of a thunderstorm passed over us then it came right and was hot again. Time for High Tea in the Top Sail Lounge at 4.30. Went to dinner at La Muse theme tonight was 60s, 70s 80s every night is the same people looking after you so they get to know what you like and they are like new found friends Giancarlo showed us to our usual table, Kristijan greeted us with the menus and Jahmall had Lexie's fanta ready. We didn't go to the theatre tonight as it was opera tribute and we were all very tired, so it was off to the Top Sail Lounge for our usual tea, coffee and hot chocolate served to us by Donald and May
