The tender boatThe tender boatThe tender boat

Doubles as a life boat
Excursion to Nice and Eze and perfume factory today

We slept in this morning we were a little bit late for breakfast but Giancarlo said don't worry about it, we arrived at our meeting point a smidgen late but never mind we are in yacht club and can do whatever we want, today we have to take a tender boat to the port of Cannes that was a little bumpy. We got on the bus and headed off to Nice, it is very beautiful here you can see why people rave about it the sea is 3 shades of blue, beautiful dark blue then lighter, then very light blue near the shore and crashing to white waves just stunning, we had an hour in Nice to look around found some Nic-Nac shops, we lost two passengers that didn't come back to the meeting point on time, waited for 1/2 hour they still didn't show so we had to leave without them, hopefully they jumped on another bus, the coastline is so beautiful, our guide pointed out Elton John's house and Bono on the way to the medieval town of Eze, that was built in the 11th century,

We walked up to the Chapel of Eze which was built in the 17th century, then trotted down the hill to the perfumery where we had a tour of the factory and chance to buy discounted perfume and soap. The driver was nice enough to take us so that we could have a look at Monaco where all the millionaires and billionaires live (not because it is beautiful, which it is, but because they pay no tax) we got back to Cannes and had an hour before the last tender back to the boat, just enough time to squeeze in some shopping. The trip back was really rough the waves were going right over the top of the little tender but Lexie was laughing her head off it was like a flume ride....for her. Dinner was formal tonight so Lexie wore her suit and they kept teasing her about getting her to work, Kristijan put his badge on her and she served Mal and I our dessert, we have a different menu each night tonight Mal and I had Foie Gras on top of our steak he ate his and mine and then Kristijan brought him out two more (oink oink) Lexie is going to miss these guys as they are so nice, she will miss Martha as well she is just so little and lovely. Tomorrow is our last night on board, the show tonight was Wonderland it was great they all looked like the cast from the movie the makeup and costumes were so very well done

We went to the Top Sail Lounge for our usual cup of tea, coffee and hot chocolate before bed
