So Rome was pretty amazing. There were plenty of ruins and statues and fountains and tourists. The Colosseum was definately the most breath-taking, but that is to be expected. We spent an entire day in the Vatican and another just trying to see all the other famous sites. Many things were being renovated, but everything was still gorgeous. Take a look at the figure on the left... the guy who designed the Staute of Liberty modeled it after this statue...

The window in the middle.. only the dove is madeout of glass... the rays are a stone cut so thin that light can come through...

This statute was made while the Anglican church had come into power.. and you can see the figure about to crush England with her toe...
