Kathy coming off the plane in Rome
We arrived in Rome right on time and met our driver after going through customs and getting our luggage. He took us to the Benhouse B & B where we met our guide, Rosana. Benhouse overlooks Vatican City and we had a view of the Pope's living quarters.

We dropped off our luggage and then walked to get something to eat before going to St. Peter's Square for the Pope's Blessing. We were so lucky to get to Rome on a Sunday that the Pope was giving a blessing. After the blessing, we toured around that area for a couple of hours. We then headed back to the B & B and rested for a while before heading out with Rosana for a driving tour of the city and seeing several churches and monuments. One of the places I wanted to see for sure was the Trevi Fountain. We did it!!!

We were all very tired due to jet lag so we ate an early dinner and then went back to the B & B for some sleep. We had a very interesting room in a building that was built in the 1800s. They had recently installed an elevator--thank

I was just there!!
It's wild to read about your travels to the very places I visited in November. I have a photo of me and my mom tossing our coins into the Trevi Fountain too!! A little bit different since we visited at night, but the facial expressions are the same! Very cool.
