Praetorian photo opp Well, what can we say? When in Rome… yep, that’s right. You DO AS THE ROMANS DO! I’m sure all the modern day Romans that worked this gala event thought we were a bunch of cheesy tourists, but did we ever have a great time! The conference ended with a giant toga party at the Sheraton in its huge ballroom. The company provided the togas, which we embellished as we chose to. The banquet was complete with praetorian guards, a newlywed couple brought into the room by a chariot drawn by two white stallions, gladiator hand to hand combat, and of course live music and dancing. Waiters served us from huge vats of pasta and walked from person to person with roasted 3 foot long skewers of whole squab, one on top of another. Wine was served by the pitcher, not to mention a full open bar. This was not your everyday banquet for 1000+. This was a ROMAN FEAST. And everyone reveled in it.
We got to spend time with new friends we made during the conference, as well as folks I know from past conferences. The company really pulled out all the stops and put on an amazing

Putting the final heat to the roasted game hens before serving them conference and an awesome closing event. It was a great way to end a week of networking, personal growth, amazing sight seeing, good times and friendship. Viva la Roma!
