Greetings from Rome! Monday (Oct 3) was a pretty chill last day in Lecce. We had a leisurely morning, with a breakfast of scrambled eggs and mushrooms, cheese and tomatoes, and toast, made by Susan. Delicious! I found another tailor on google, in the continuing quest to get my pantsuit hemmed, and success! The little tailor shop was just a short walk away, and we were helped along the way by real... Read Full Entry

Thanks Mom! Yes, I think Ross was sad to say good bye to Fabio! He sure did a great job driving in Italy.

Bella Roma!
Ah, how beautiful! What an amazing city Rome is, and so much history! It seems that you packed so much into one day, and well done particularly as it seems you weren't feeling too well - sorry to hear... Great that you were able to get the pant suit done, and walk around Italy in Italian style! Indeed, The Colosseum is certainly one of those places you can't quite believe you're there when you visit it. I love places like this. Looks like you had an amazing start to your time in Rome 😊

Bella Roma!
Yes, Rome was pretty incredible, even though we were only there for a short time. And my not feeling well was entirely self-inflicted, so I deserve no sympathy, ha ha 😂.

Limoncello
Thanks Lori, I love this city very much and loved reading of your city tour. The Pantheon is my most favourite building ever, and it never fails to take my breath away when I walk in. Rome has so many such amazing architectural feats. Your 'big' night made me groan in sympathy with you. Well done for getting through an early start when you were feeling rough! I've had a similar limoncello experience and it's taken me many many years to get to a point where I can enjoy it again :D

Limoncello
Thanks Ren - I'm glad you enjoyed the city tour blog. I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't been feeling so rough ... I still can't face limoncello!
