Marina Grande
Marina Grande 22-10-14 Geo: 40.6263, 14.3757
Another lazy, relaxing day today wandering Sorrento. We spent the morning poking in and out of shops and buying some trinkets for souvenirs. We then headed over the Marina Grande for our reserved lunch at Delfino that I had read so much about on Trip Advisor. The reviews were definitely not wrong!
Lunch was totally delicious, as was the atmosphere and service at this restaurant. G started with an entrée of mussels and then we both had the catch of the day, which was sea bream that was simply grilled and then filleted in front of us at the table. It was served with boiled potatoes and broccoli. We finished off with tiramisu cake for G and lemon delicious cake for me. All washed down with wine of course while looking at the lovely view. We were seated out on the pier, so could see the open sea and Vesuvius in one direction and the pretty little harbor and village of Marina Grande in the other. We enjoyed our lunch so much that we made another reservation for dinner on Friday, our last night in Sorrento.
After an incredibly indulgent and lazy lunch, we took a slow walk
back to Bellevue Syrene and spent the rest of the day relaxing on our balcony before eating dinner at Il Maziolini where we both ate Beef Tagliata, a delicious dish of sliced beef with a glass of Chianti.
