Bellevue Syrene from Marina Piccola
Bellevue Syrene from Marina Piccola 20-10-14 Geo: 40.6263, 14.3757
Today was a very lazy day. We got up later than we have been on this trip and had a very leisurely breakfast on the terrace looking at the stunning view. Breakfast, like everything else at Bellevue Syrene was excellent.
We then spent the morning wandering around the town of Sorrento. First stop was to find a laundromat, which was successful. This was followed by taking the hotel's private lift down to the "beach" which was actually floating pontoons with sunbeds! We wandered along the short until we finally hit the marina where we made enquiries about travelling to Capri later in the week.
We returned to Bellevue Syrene for a delicious club sandwich at La Pergola. The restaurant was set up much more casually for lunch than it had been last night, but the views were still magnificent.
After lunch we went for another walk to try to find Marina Grande and the famed Delfino restaurant. After walking through an ancient Greek gate we finally found this gorgeous fishing village full of waterfront restaurants and cafes. We reached the end and found Delfino and made a reservation for lunch in a couple of days.
Dinner than night was at the Foreigners Club,
G at the Greek Gate to Marine Grande
Gary at the Greek Gate to Marine Grande 20-10-14 stuffed pumpkin flowers and schnitzel. There were good views from here, but not a lot else really. It would be nice for a drink if you were unlucky enough not to have a view in your hotel.
