Not only the statues in Ancient Rome were nude. Modern statues are sometimes nude too.

When I was looking at this fresco the brothel a woman, she was probably around 70 years old, came in. She looked up and saw frescoes showing people having sex. She giggled twice, looked around to make sure nobody was watching her and then she quickly took a photo of each one of them and stepped out.

Wasn't Pompeii really really hot? Wasn't that the place consumed by a volcanic eruption? Surely that explains why they didn't wear clothes...must have been really, really, really hot!!!
