Our first beer in Ireland! Ireland was amazing!!! It was by far my favorite trip that i took. We caught a 6 hour bus ride on Friday night at midnight to Madrid where we flew out of the Barajas airport. We arrived in Ireland around like noon and we caught a cab to our hostel called four courts hostel. It got its name from the real four courts courthouse across the street and river from it. When we got to our hostel we checked in and then laid down for a nap after our long night and morning of traveling. Then when we woke up we wandered around and got dinner at a O'neils pub right down the street from our hostel. That night we decided to do a pub crawl and our tour guide took us all around to his favorite pubs and we got free drinks at every place. It was a lot of fun. At the end of the pub crawl we ended up in the Temple bar club where we spent a little time dancing and hanging out with our tour guide. We probably didnt get back to the hostel until about 3 or 4 in the morning.
The next day
we got up and got breakfast. Finally, a real breakfast not like Spain's one plain croissant for breakfast. We had sausage and eggs and pancakes. It was great. After that we went on a free tour of the city. We then went to Trinity College to see the book of Kells. After that we went and toured the Guiness factory which was really cool. At the end of the tour they gave you a free guiness in the Tower bar on top of the factory. It was really cool because it is a big circular room that has glass windows all around and they look out over the city of Dublin. It's an absolutely beautiful view. After our Guiness factory tour we walked over to the Jamison factory and toured that as well. It was really neat to see how similar the two processes are for such different drinks. After that we went and ate at the oldest restaurant in Dublin, The Brazen Head and the food was great. I got the fish and chips of course and it was delicious. After dinner we headed back to a bar that we had gone to the night before on our pub
crawl that had live music and we hung out there listening to live music for the rest of the night.
The next day we just took the day to tour around Dublin to see all of the Museums and churches that we wanted to see. We went into Christ Church Cathedral where a mummified cat and rat skeleton are kept in the crypt with all of the important people because they were found mummified inside of the church orgon when it was being cleaned last. We also went to St. Patricks Cathedral which is absolutely huge and beautiful. We headed over to Grafton Street and walked around the stores and things and we just had a kind of relaxed touristy day.
The next day we got up early and went on a irish countryside tour. It took us out to where they filmed PS I Love You and parts of Braveheart. The tour also took us to a 6th century monestary that we got to tour which was really cool. And then it also took us around just to see the beauty of Ireland. I absolutely loved it. Our tour guide was so funny and his accent was
awesome and the country was just beautiful even though it was foggy and rainy. After we got back from our countryside tour, we went and ate dinner and then headed around to get a last look at Dublin and our favorite pubs since we had to leave bright and early the next morning to fly back to Madrid. It was a great trip and i recommend Ireland to anyone that is traveling to Europe. I absolutely loved it. The people are so friendly and fun and the pubs are just fun to be in. I love Ireland! 😊
