It seems snow can even shut this place down too!! The streets are dead and we seemed to be the only crazy ones to venture out for food!

Tonight was supposed to be our posh meal in Reykjavik so instead we ventured to one of the posher restaurants here.... Dressed in thermals and jeans!!!

It was on the 5th floor, boasting some of the best views in the town.... Not tonight, we could barely see across the car park. To add insult to injury, half of the things on the menu had not made it through the storm, but we tried arctic goose, local langoustines, article char, salted cod, Icelandic lamb and skyr (a yoghurt like pudding!) with birch and apple sorbet! It was scrummy and very luxurious, but as I said not much else to do around here when the snow is up to your knees!!!

The walk back as painful on the face as we were walking into the wind, but we still made snow angels on some pristine snow!!! Now warm and in bed with books!!
