Hot spring and lake Tuesday
Shelly started the day with a tough hike where the ship took off and went cruising. She got to see me sail back out to sea. They hiked to the top of the Hornbjerg ridge. She hike thru snow and at the top laid on their stomachs and looked over the cliff and took pictures of the birds. I on the other hand sailed away with the ship and we cruised along the cliffs and saw many different kinds of birds (1000s of them). We then both took a quick nap and next we arrived in Reykjofordur. Everyone moved out of this area in the late 50s but they keep up the houses and the swimming pool for hikers and campers to use. Our ship was the first cruise ship to stop at the area. Shelly and I hiked around the area to the hot springs/ hot springs lake. The vegetation we hiked over at times was really spongy – shelly says it was like walking on cheap carpet. It was spongier than that I say. We hiked up to the pool and watched the folks swim. All in all it was a nice walk. The trip to shore

Shelly on a rock and back was on cirkelboats. They can only take 9 people at a time and the “dock” is a pallet with a metal step ladder at the end.
Once we got back on the boat Shelly went to the store on ship and found a mug she wanted. She came back thinking that the currency was the Iceland currency we are not sure how we will spend. But instead it was the NOK (Norwegian currency that is the currency on board). As I was telling her our money was not the Nok, we laughed and started saying Knock Knock. After that was dinner and it was dinner buffet (not sure if we will ever use our assigned seating) and they had another story telling session. We chose to go back to the room and read.
