Hoy a las 9 he ido en el ferry a Grimsey. Es un islote, unos 5 km de largo y un par de km de ancho, el punto mas al norte de Islandia, justo en esos 5 km de islote se cruza el circulo polar artico. He recorrido el islote desde casi la punta del norte hasta el sur. En la isla hay 90 habitantes y decenas de miles de pajaros, entre ellos varios miles de Puffins. Es un pajarillo, del tamaño de un cuervo, pesca en el mar y vive en colonias en islotes. Es muy confiado, nada agresivo y no vuela muy bien, por tanto en tierra firme seria presa de gatos, perros, ratas y cualquier bicho un poco espabilado. Por tanto vive en sitios remotos. He hecho mogollon de fotos, subo unas cuantas al blog y el todas al disco duro. En la isla habia unas gaviotas pequeñas que estan ahora en tiempo de cria, el video esta hecho manteniendo la camara por delante de mi cabeza y enfocado hacia delante, si no les miras directamente te hacen los vuelos rasantes de los buenos. Hay tambien un pequeño video de un Puffin. A la vuelta de la isla he visto unos delfines haciendo piruetas a lo lejos.

Today at 9 I went on the ferry to Grimsey. It is a small island, about 5 km long and a few km wide, the northernmost point of Iceland, just in those 5 km of island it crosses the Arctic Circle. I toured the island from near the tip of the north to the south. The island has 90 inhabitants and tens of thousands of birds, including several thousands of Puffins. It's a bird, the size of a crow, does sea fishing and live in colonies on islands. Is very confident, not aggressive and does not fly very well, therefore, onshore, cats, dogs, rats and any bug a little clever can decimate it. So they live in remote locations. I made lots of photos, upload a few to the blog and all the hard disk. On the island the small gulls are now breeding time, the video is made keeping the camera in front of my head and focused upward, if you do not look directly they do the best flying by. There is also a short video of a Puffin. Coming back from the island I saw some dolphins doing tricks in the distance.

Esos pajaros parecen buena gente! Por munich estamos a 35º achicharrados de calor.... :(
