The Danube river is the heart of this city. There are two parts, Buda and Pest, each occupying their side of this massive and beautiful river. Eventually they were united into surprisingly... Budapest. This is a beautiful city, especially at night. Bird demanded that a cruise on the Danube would be a part of this trip and of course it was.

During the cruise we were accused by a couple from Portugal. Actually, we enjoyed a pleasant hour of conversation with similarly progressive leanings. Europe is certainly more progressive than the U.S. These pictures are marginal, but its what we have.

We depart in the morning for the Plitvice National Park in Croatia. This is an amazing place. There are numerous limestone lakes with crystal clear water and each with cascading water falls into the next. I hope we are able to capture the beauty of the place with pictures.
