Hey all

Told you we would write again soon.

We have had another busy day.

Last night we went out for dinner with the Aussie couple and their daughter. We went to a restaurant where they were holding a greek wedding while waiting for our table we were invited to join the celebrations that were going on. The red wine started flowing and the father of the groom welcomed us all into the party (family). We met the groom and bride and watched on as the dancing took place all around us it was certainly a very special time. When we sat down to order our meal the father of the groom came over and told us that he was paying for everything (our meal, our drinks the lot). This was hospitality that we had never experienced before and certainly put a whole new spin on the REAL people of Santorini.

It was a great night.

Today we rented a quad bike (yes we are braving the insanity which is European driving) please to say we arrived back in one piece and I'm not writing this blog with any limbs in plaster. Chris was overcome at the monastry and took a mild stumble, just her pride hurt I think (a good way of getting out of carrying her pack). We may see if one of the donkeys can come with us for the rest of our trip as they sure seem to earn their keep.

We have covered the length and breadth of this island and it truly has some spectacular sites.

You enjoy dinner with a million dollar view and it doesn't take long to get into this way of life.

Sadly we have had to book our ferry to return to mainland Europe (and all the madness that will come with it).

We have had some good tips from some more friendly travellers and even managed to score some free Acropolis tickets woohoo.

Photos soon I promise just struggling on these greek computer's!!!

Cheers Mel for the regular updates we will be sure to say hello to at least one greek for you and love your idea of a Hangi restaurant I'm sure it would be a big hit.

Speak again soon

All good things do sadly come to an end!!
Hiya world travellers, Well it sounds like a blast, I am saving the pennies to get to this place where people pay for all the RED WINE you can drink, I will hunt down all Weddings at restaurants......I will need to get some good disguises. Yes, sadly it does end but think of all the fun things to come and now you know that dream island is there you can go again. We are all waiting for the 130kph winds that are meant to strike here around 8pm tonight, yikes, so we have tied down the dogs kennel, rubbish bins and the dogs, just in case!! Finn has got his Variety Concert for Charity 2morow night, (did you ever do that chris??) Caity is Caity and she is going to reconcilliation on saturday as part of her First Holy Communion programme. So if you see the lightning strike down and a massive crack of thunder its because FINN is going in after her..........HE HE HE. Other than that same ole same ole, took a Ford XR6 Falcon for a test drive, man those babies can haul.......way too much power for me, but I did look good in it!!!! Finn got car sick and "THANK GOD" managed to vomit outside the car when it had pulled over and stopped.......there is a lord. Well love to you both, we are off to eat dessert, fruit pie and custard, look out hips. Take care and enjoy the ferry ride. Lots of love Mel, Zac, Finn and Miss Caity xxxx
