A different place that we suggest is known as “Fragkopidima”. You will find it about 5 kilometers outside the town of Pyrgos. According to the legend, a franc who was persecuted by his enemies, jumped with his horse from the rock found there. During his fall, he requested from Agios Nikolaos to live and eventually this happened. That is said about how the Monastery of St. Nicholas was built in this area.
