It is located a few kilometres away from Zaxaro, in Ilia’s prefecture. At Kaiafa’s lake are the homonymous mineral water Springs and curative baths. The beauty of this region is superb. Nowadays, the lake surface covers almost 1500 acres. It is 3 kilometres long and over 2 metres deep. The subline forest of Strophilia, lays between the lake and the coastline. The Kaiafa’s lake is an important nature monument and offers hospitality to fishes, cels, snakes, turtles and many kids if migratory birds. The little island of Saint Aikaterini which is located in the lake, its named from the homonymous chapel on it
