back to reality

well, my time in the gorgeous greek islands is over. so sad. after nearly 4 weeks of chilling out at the beach, i'm back to the "delight" of city living. oh well, i'm sure i'll survive. michelle left this morning to go back to london etc. and i'm off to barcelona tomorrow - on my own again 😞 today is in transit in athens, and i refuse to do anything sightseeing-y. don't know why, i just am!!! santorini was absolutely beautiful. definitely the nicest island, but i think ios was the funnest. we didn't do a whole lot - for a change. our beach had black sand - bizarre. actually black pebbles, but it counts. we went up to the north of the island, a place called oia (pronounced ee-ah), one night to watch the sunset. absolutely beautiful. just as the sun set though, everyone started clapping, go figure. apparently they do it every night. but it's always different tourists - i don't get it. don't really know what else we did. we spent a lot of time at the pool. it was a very nice few days.
