Bernkastle-Kues

We moved on to stay at another superb location on the banks of the river just outside the twin town of Bernkastle-Kues. We cycled into town, admired the ancient buildings and had an excellent fish lunch a in Bernkastle’s oldest inn.

Susie, one of the Murvi group, reached the age of 60 today and we spent the afternoon and evening celebrating her birthday. Firstly it was a wine tasting at one of the local cellars where her cards were presented, then bubbly and the cake cutting and finally a communal supper in the glorious evening sunshine.
