World War 2 took place in more than just Europe. For example, South-East Asia, China, Middle East, etc. What caused World War 2 was Germany accepting the blame for starting World War one. Germany had to pay millions of dollars in damages caused by the war. Germany had their army shorten and some of their land was taken away. The causes of this was millions of people dying that went into the war. Some key events that happened during World War 2 was Poland invading, which also caused the war, the Pearl Harbor bombing, which caused the U.S to join, Hitler committing suicide, and the bombing of Hiroshima. The historical significance of World War 2 was that it stopped the spread of dictatorships ruling both in Asia and Europe. It helped the great depression end. It boosted the economy.
