We caught the 8.30 Dover to Calais ferry and spent most of the crossing having a slap up breakfast in the ship’s restaurant.

On disembarking we drove 530k along Northern France then across Belgium and Holland and into Germany to stay overnight at an excellent camper stop we used last year at Ibbenburen. It’s next to a pool so you can go for a swim if you feel inclined. We didn’t.
