Well, this was it... my last weekend in Trier is now over. Can't believe that in 6 days I'll be moving out. It's gone by really quickly. This weekend was nice. Fri. I had lunch with Katrin. That was nice cause we really haven't had much time to hang out. I met some of her friends and one of em actually lives in my building. =) That was kind of cool, but stinks cause I'm leaving in a week... Oh well, that's usually how it goes. Fri. night I had dinner at Katrin's and hung out at her place. It was nice to just kick back with her.
Yesterday I spent the morning studying... oh fun... not much longer though... can't wait till it's all over. At like 4 Matt was able to locate a key for the kitchen in building one. We had reserved the one in my building but couldn't get a hold of the two people that have a key. Nobody was on the list for Kitchen 1, so he was able to get a key. I started making pumpkin pie while he went grocery shopping for some stuff. When he came back he made brownies and
then we started making enchiladas. =) Made the sauce from scratch... that was cool.... it tasted really really good and was really simple. Another thing that I probably won't buy premade anymore. The kitchen smelled so good. Nils joined us for dinner. It was a nice relaxing eveining. I loved having all those familiar foods.. The enchiladas were delicious and brownies are always good. I was also very excited to have pumpkin pie.... It's my favorite =) I'm trying to eat all kinds of food that I really like from home that I can make here cause in two weeks I won't be able to make those comfort foods anymore. Again it was a nice relaxing night. It's fun though to just spend a night cooking and eating with friends. Definetely have to do that more when I'm back in the states.
After Matt and I cleaned the kitchen we came back to my place and finished the first season of Coupling. I got him hooked. hehe... great show. Today I spent cleaning a bit and studying. kinda boring. I also called home. =) I love getting to talk with my parents. I miss home sooooooo much. I love being here, but I've realized a lot more this time around how much home really means to me and how much I really miss my family. I still love being abroad, but home is special too. Thinking that I might spend the summer back home, but who knows with me. ; ) Matt's coming over in a while to start the second season of Coupling. =) That means a good night. Unfortunately the week has to start tomorrow. It'll be a busy one, but it's almost over. Just a presentation and 2 exams left. Hopefully I'll also have some time to just enjoy spending time with friends before I leave. I'll be quite busy and don't know if I'll get a chance to write again this week. If I don't I hope you all have a great one and I'll definetely write again once I'm in Stockum. Miss you all very much!
Ciao!
