They participated in the black hat thing
Language camp has come to an end. It helped me a lot, but not nearly enoughto suit my linguistic needs. It has been an incredibly fun filled three weeks, however, today was the most entertaining by far. The first half of the day was class like usual, but after lunch we played Fußball (soccer). I got totally into it and my jeans were absolutely filthy. After that was a small game of bobbing for apples. We had been split up into four groups int he first week for the scavenger hun we had and we got back into those groups for all the activities that followed soccer... like bobbing for apples. Only one person from each group was to participate, so Dennis and I played rock paper scissors...I won. My time was like 4 seconds. It's too bad that Gavin ended up beating me with 2 seconds. Dennis got to partake in the next game which was a contest to see who could eat three black hats (some german type marshmallow chocolate thing) the fastest. After that we played Activity auf Deutsch and the last game was another contest involving food. We were required to eat three pieces of really dry

toast and who ever could whistle first was the winner. I wa thes lucky participant for this event because Louisa wasn't feeling well and Bailey talked her way out of it. It was very messy because we were not allowed to use our hands. I had enough crumbs down my shirt to feed a flock of hungy mag-pies. We played one more game, but it wasn't for points. I have forgotten the name of it, but it involved a knife, a fork, a scarf, a pair of cloves, a hat, and a very tightly wrapped bar of chocolate. A group of people, most commonly 6 year olds because this game was predominantly a childs party activity, would sit around a table and roll a die one at a time. If you rolled a 6 you recieved the fore mentioned items. The idea was to be the first one to get at the chocolate, but in order to do this you first had to put on the hat, the gloves, and scarf. After you have done this you may hack away at the twine, newspaper, and packaging tape cocoon of the chocolate all you want...so long as you only touch it

with the fork and knife. All the while you are making your attempt the rest of the people at the table continue taking turns rolling the die. If someone else gets a six then you are required to remove the articles of clothing and pass them, along with the fork, knife, and chocolate bar, to the person who had rolled a six. It would seem that this game has the potential to be carried out in a civil and organized manner. It really doesn't. Judging by how totally crazy this group of high school students got I can only imagine the absolute chaos that would come along with attempting to play this game at a childs birthday.
