• The number of fans wearing gumboots to the race
  
• Sight of local fans at 9.30 in the morning with a beer in one hand and a waffle in the other
  
• Group of Renault fans next to us who without fail cheered Alonso each and every time he passed in front of us

Cold (around 10 degrees) and wet - especially wet 3 laps from the end of the race.
