The train trip from Paris to Germany was easy but not a lot to see as there were barriers obstructing the view most of the way.

* The size of the plates at "The One and Only" restaurant across from the hotel was outrages. Our 2 plates could just fit on a table designed for 4 people. Whacky!
* Many of the locals enjoyed a 1/2 litre beer for breakfast on the way to the track. No cans of beer were allowed on entry - but it's cool if you pour it into a

Alonso made the trip too, listening to F1 updates on his iPod and completing some last minute research on Belgium.

* It was unusal to attend a major event where no bags were searched on entry. Having said that, they were very strict on ticket management. All tickets was electronically scanned every time you entered or exited each gate and grandstand.

The risk of booking online!! We have consecutive seat numbers (166 & 167) but are actually seated in different rows, 22 seats apart - at the end of one row and the start of the following row.
