• Making commitment to return to Paris next year
  
• The Spa circuit is one of the most picturesque circuits on the F1 calendar
  
• Meeting and chatting with Peter Windsor, along with getting a hug and photo for the scrapbook - Joc got the hug, not Mick
  
• Hanging out with fellow F1 fans at pre-race preview party
  
• Michel's Gelati count - 18 (pastries & waffles still outweighing gelati)
  
• Joceline's Italian / French / German Coffee count - 35
  
• Joint Pastry / Crepe / Waffle count - 14
  

Odd Spot(s)

* The size of the plates at "The One and Only" restaurant across from the hotel was outrages. Our 2 plates could just fit on a table designed for 4 people. Whacky!
* Many of the locals enjoyed a 1/2 litre beer for breakfast on the way to the track. No cans of beer were allowed on entry - but it's cool if you pour it into a plastic cup.
* It was unusal to attend a major event where no bags were searched on entry. Having said that, they were very strict on ticket management. All tickets was electronically scanned every time you entered or exited each gate and grandstand.

German Arrival
The train trip from Paris to Germany was easy but not a lot to see as there were barriers obstructing the view most of the way.

Alonso in Belgium
Alonso made the trip too, listening to F1 updates on his iPod and completing some last minute research on Belgium.

Forest Procession
The forest makes a beautiful backdrop as spectators make their way to the track entry.

Where's 167?
The risk of booking online!! We have consecutive seat numbers (166 & 167) but are actually seated in different rows, 22 seats apart - at the end of one row and the start of the following row.

F1 Village
People, people and more people. Luckily Spa also provides many magnificent views of the track from many locations.

Mmm... Belgian waffles!

The Track
We have a great view - the exit of corner 1 and the final piece of the pit exit.

The Man In The Know
Peter Windsor spent 90 minutes updating us - oh, and 35 fellow GP tour fanatics - on today's activities at the track, as well as answering numerous GP questions from the group.
