We put our annoying tourist shoes back on and Erik took us to Celle, a beautiful old small town about 40 minutes from Hannover. I spent the day taking pictures of Sean and Erik taking pictures and they didn’t let me go into a single shoe store! Bastards! And of course we had more food and more beer! Later that evening back in Hannover Erik and Sarah took us to their favourite Irish bar for some German karaoke and Irish beer. Erik and Sarah, or as they’re known here Frank Sinatra and Celine Dion, had no problem karaoking (I don’t know how to spell that) but Sean and I would be needing a lot of liquid courage… which of course was in no short supply. We had way too much to drink and at the end of the evening Sean honoured the remaining bar patrons with his rendition of “Wanted, Dead or Alive” by the great Bon Jovi. The few people still straggling quickly departed.
