Travelling from Australia to Singapore staying overnight we generally stay around the Bugis area so we have get the train to Singapore Airport for our flight to Frankfurt in Germany . We arrived in Frankfurt 10th June 2019 stayed 5 nights at Flemings Hotel Messe near Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof station. we ate at the food places at the train station .We are a mature independent travellers we like to explore on our own , we also like to stay near the main train stations so when travelling to other places it makes it easier to get to the next city .

10th June we stayed around Frankfurt Neue Altstadt ( Old Town) area sights including Romer( City Hall) , St Nicholas church, Kaiserdom ( St Bartholomew Church) strolling through Berger Strabe , which has shopping and cafes , aso the Famous Building the Golden Scale House in the old town which is half timbered from the Renaissance Period .

11th June we did a day trip by RE train to Baden Baden journey approx travel time 1 hr 40 mins .Baden Baden town is a 15 minute bus ride direction lichtental/Oberbeuern get off Leopoldplatz stop .Baden Baden is a small town to walk around. Sightseeing Evangelishe Kirche (church) Stiftskirch ( church) , Fredrichsbad Spa Building , Thermal baths combination of Roman and Irish bathing traditions in the Altstadt (old town). Lichtentaler Allee park . Also strolling around the pedestrian area of shops .

12th June we did a day trip by train on the ICE train travelling time approx 2hrs 29 mins with 2 changes to Rothenburg Ob de Tauber walking around the cobblestone Altstadt , which is very busy area for tourists , especially the Kathe Wohlfahrt Christmas shop that has over 12,000 items .The famous phot landmark of Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber , sights include Town Hall, Marktplatz , St James Church , Rathaus , Gerlachschmiede which is an old house , Roderturm for a unique view of the old city .13th June we did a day trip to Dusseldorf looked at the Carlsplatz market which is the oldest in Dusseldorf , walked along the Konigsallee boulevard either side is lined with plane trees and shopping ,At one end is the Tritonenbrunnen (kings Avenue )is Tritions Fountain, also saw the Peter Von Cornelius monument , Johanneskirche (Church) , the Pegeluhr ( clock). We did a stop at Cologne before heading back to Frankfurt . Sightseeing Cologne Cathedral , Hohenzollern Bridge , Denkmal Bahnhof Deutz Schiffbrucke monument .

14th June we did a day trip to Heidelberg by ICE train changing at Mannheim travel time is approx 1 hr . Sightseeing Bruckentor ( gate and towers )the Karl Theodor Bridge which spans across the Neckar River ,Kathe Wohlfhrt Christmas Store , Heidelberg Castle in the background , walked through the Altstadt and Market Square which was bustling with tourists and has a lovely place for coffee & cake - Cafe Schafhautle , St Peter's Church and Bismarck Monument on our way back to Frankfurt we did a short stop at Mannheim .Exploring the Rosegarten and strolled the street .Leave Frankfurt next stop Berlin
