Ryanair
Our first flight on europe's cheapest airline! So last Monday, Nick asked us what we were doing for the weekend, no one had any plans so he suggests we go to Hamburg Germany! It was very last minute but the best way we could have planned such a trip. Nick and Becky had already been to Germany, so they were semi-familiar with it, and Nick speaks some German so he helped us out a lot.
The trip there consisted of a train ride, plane ride, and two bus rides, it took a while but it was pretty cheap. Once we got there we wandered around asking for directions to our hostel. We made it walking in about an hour, and got to see a lot of the city on the way. The hostel was really nice and clean, it was only like 25 euros for each person for two nights, a small breakfast included, so that was awesome, and it was right by the subway.
Two girls that are studying here are from Hamburg so they drew a map for us and told us all the good places to go out on Saturday night. We went to the Reeperbahn, which is the red light district, but
The girls
We are all so excited to finally be using our passports! also has a lot of ‘normal’ clubs. It was so different for us to be in such a big city. After going to our first sit-down dinner since arriving in Europe we decided to go out! We just went to different bars and clubs all night, and ended up staying out until 4:30 in the morning. However, since we were only there for just over a day, we woke up at 9 on Sunday and went out to sight-see. We took the subway into the main part of the city and ended up at St. Michaels Church, which had been bombed in WWII and then rebuilt. It is really famous and we walked up 450 stairs to the top and got an amazing view of the city. We then walked to a lake in the city and had lunch on the water and just hung out there all day. The area where the lake was had tons of shopping, but all of it was closed since it was Sunday. We also found a Starbucks, I have really been missing my regular coffee so that had been one of our missions for the day, to find a Starbucks, turned our there
Hamburg Clubs
This was the first club we saw on our walk to the hostel, properly named SLUT! were three right in that area!
The trip was quick but tons of fun. I am really lucky to have found such great people to travel with, so far everyone is getting along well and we are about to plan our second trip to London/Paris in a few weeks.
Well it is back to school this week! I miss everyone!

St. Michael's
St. Michael's -- what a fitting place to end up . . . God is watching out for all of you! Remember when and if you get to London that Jeff Mithchell is living there (Donna's son). I'm sure that he and his family would take very good care of you and your friends. I understand he has extra rooms. Let me know if you need his address/telephone number. I miss you . . . keep your angels with you! xoxox
