I went to trunk just before 1:00 am. I woke up several times during the night but it wasn't uncommon for me. Initially I folded the quilt and laid down on top of it because the trunk was hard. Halfway through the night it got cold and I had to taco myself in between the two halves. Woke up, checked my phone and it was 7:15 am. The was a gym around the corner from the McDonald's. I went in but I was a 24 hour gym and nobody was at the front desk, even though it's was 9:00 am at this point. I got an email back and there weren't any spots for the Mercedes factory tour in Sindelfingen nearby. So, it was just the Mercedes museum. I weighed my options and went back to the same McDonald's. I washed my face, brushed my teeth and combed my hair. I grabbed a sausage and egg McMuffin. It tasted a bit different than the ones in North America. There are a lot of Mercedes properties in Stuttgart. I accidentally inputted the wrong address into the navigation. Once I got to the correct location, it was museum time. It was impressive. A
journey through the history of not just cars or Mercedes Benz, but transportation. They also had significant world events since the creation of the first automobile until now. I was quite tired by the end of it and needed to eat. Finding a place suitable place to eat took over and hour and a half. I ended up at some multi-Asian restaurant in a mall. I accidentally ordered a spring roll thinking it was a salad roll along with pho. At one point in the day I thought I'd be Superman and drive back to the hostel after the museum and do a five jaunt into Salzburg. That was not happening as I was just struggling to find food and get my ass back to Munich. I planned a pit stop of see a castle if one was not too far off of the highway. I made a couple of wrong turns and said fuck it. There was heavy traffic and I didn't get back into Munich until 7:30 or so. I feel cheated when I fill up a rental car and it has full tank. Ideally I like to return it right before the gauge begins to drop from
full. I drove to Schlosspark Nymphenburg, a massive park in the city for an hour. Finding the entrance proved challenging. I walked around for an hour until ominous clouds began to roll in. The wind picked up a lot. I returned the car and by the entered the parkade and walked out the skies opened up. Sheets of rain and strong gusts of wind had people ducking for shelter. I waited it out for ten minutes but had to get moving. It was two blocks to the train station, then another two to the hostel. At the train station I got a couple of bratwursts and fries and cost almost ten euros. What a ripoff. I got back to the hostel and unpacked. After a quick conversation with someone new in the room I went downstairs to use the WiFi to plan where I was going to go for the next two days. I had a 15 minute conversation with the American I gave my complementary drink ticket to. I only had this last night in Munich. After an hour of planning I was officially going to Zadar, Croatia. The bus was scheduled to leave at 8:50 am the next
morning. By the time I showered and went to bed, it was past 1:00 am. Here we go again.
