what's that skip?
Australia are going to win the World Cup LibWorld Cup fever has swept across Europe - taking us along with it.
It all started with the unexpected victory against Japan which got us interested (3:1), then for the Aus v Brazil game Lib and I spent the weekend in Munich where, by sitting in the Hofbrauhaus for 2 days straight with an inflatable kangaroo and green and gold-clad friends from home, we showed our support for the Socceroos (a narrow loss, 2:0). With our new-found interest in football we all gathered again back in Islington for the nailbiting draw in Aus v Croatia (2:2). Sadly, it all came crashing down last night with Italy's questionable victory (1:0). Who would have thought we'd care? but these actually are exciting times.
