Vacation from Our Vacation

Taking a vaction from our vacation is a bit unusual but that is what we are doing in that we have given up the now familiar comforts of Bonn for the big wonderful city of Munich. We are staying at the IBIS hotel just a 10 minute walk from the train station and will call it our home base for the next three days. It was a 5 hour train ride along the Rhine and we had a semi-private compartment. Trains are definitely an alternative but we are learning that flying is cheaper for some of our destinations. We were so hungry after the long train ride that we ate at the massive terminal. It was pretty good but I had a glass of Munich's finest Pils and also a second one that Linda couldn't finish. I feel like someone gave me a Mickey.

Ok, off to our adventure in Munich and beyond. Stay tuned for pictures with the next post or so. Just wanted to let you all know we got to Munich.
