There was no way I would go to Munich without visiting the BMW showroom and museum. I apologised to Elsie beforehand as i had a feeling she would be bored (she did enjoy it a little, I think 😊 )
BMW - Bayerische Motoren-Werke, or Bavarian Motor Works in English. I was in heaven. I will let the pictures do the talking...
We were lucky (?) enough to be in Germany during the World Cup (soccer that is)... unfortunately there wasn't a match in Munich at the time, but we managed to get to the main Olympic Stadium (conveniently not far from the BMW showroom) to watch Australia v. Italy. Yes that famous match, with the famous dive.. and the famous penalty. Big sigh. There were Italians all over the place chanting 'Italia Italia' 'Aussies go home' etc. Gutted...
