Another New Year and one last chance to enjoy German hospitality, food and beer. Too bad that this is a holiday and not many places are expected to be open for business. Cassie's favorite German food is Spaetzle. I'm not sure if this came with Tyler's or my dinner, but we shared it.

When we left the nice cosy restaurant the cold didn't seem quite so bad. A couple of rounds of beer helps. This is the little square in which our restaurant and another sat. Looking back now I wish we had ventured straight ahead to see what else might lure us in downtown Fussen, but we wanted to check on Cassie and start packing all the junk we had accumulated. I was already getting a queasy feeling in my tummy worrying about how we might get all our stuff through the airport and on the plane.

Before getting back to our rooms our route took us by this well-illuminated building. At the time it looked a little like a palace or part of a castle, but it was just the town hall and a music school. Just inside the open portal was a grate with hot air blowing-up. we stood on top of that for a few miinutes before heading back to our dreaded task of packing.
