Our B&B had a full loaf at every table every morning.

Left Honfleur by car this morning - getting much better at driving. Found an easy way out of town. Only made a few wrong turns. Our GPS lady is a little slow to react. We are still using 2 GPS and several maps. Also getting used to the stick shift again. 6 gears. We have a small SUV 4 WD DUSTER. It is a brand we never heard of. Will take a pic tomorrow and see if anyone can figure it out.

Once we got to Bayeaux, where we are staying, we must have made 15 turns to find our hotel. Aren't there any direct paths to a destination in this country? Then the GPS stopped as at our 'destination" a little too early, so we parked the car and found it on foot. Much less stressful. I actually asked an old frenchwoman for directions.

We explored Bayeaux this afternoon. We saw the famous Bayeaux Tapestry which tells the story of William the Conquerer in pictures on an embroidered tapestry that seems about a mile long. It dates from the year 1068 and has held up extremely well. It was surprisingly interesting and they offered a short movie explaining in

- with an English version at the perfect time. We then toured the cathedral: Notre Dame of Bayeaux. I think it is as big as the real Notre Dame. Quite a few pictures below.

We are over halfway through our trip and would like to do some laundry. We stopped by a laundromat, but everything is in French and very confusing. Tried the Translate app, but it is just too complicated. We couldn't find any hot/cold/warm settings, only time settings. So we tried the other nearby laundromat hoping it would have french and English, but no luck. It did have an attendant that I think would do our laundry, but she speaks only French and and after about a 5 minute conversation, all in French, we think it would cost 20 euro. I think we will just be stinky.

Dot got yelled at by the fruit lady for handling the fruit. We didn't know you have to wait for them to pick the fruit for you. Oops.

I get my own bed tonight! So excited. Our room here has 2 beds. Too bad the wifi is terrible. Keeps losing signal. Tomorrow we have our guide to take us to the Normandy beaches and

Out to lunch in Bayeux. Pepsi with ice - a miracle. It is almost impossible to find in France. The occasional restaurant has it. Food was mediocre. Should have followed Rick. We just picked a place at random.

We are definitely in France. This little guy was in the restaurant where we had lunch.
