What is the music like in France?

In France there are many types of genres of music to listen to. Genres like: Classical french music, french opera and folk music. In France their early folk music was instrumental. Only a few instruments were played during the time; they were simple but very useful to them. France's operas started in the middle of the 17th century. However, people didn't really start paying attention to them until the 19th century. In the 19th century it was when people actually started realizing and noticing operas. Also, in the 19th century the classical french music in France is known as the romantic era. The romantic era is similar like the period of Romantic French literature and poetry. People enjoy this kind of music when it was played until this day now.

In France their are many types of Genres that people love to listen to before and now. Before those were the types of music that people listened to ,but ofcourse over time it changes and sometimes it doesn't.
