We moved about 60k north, much of it on pleasant roads beside the River Vienne, to visit Eric and Pauline Clarke who live in the hamlet of Vivier just west of L’Isle-Jourdain. On the way we made a brief stop to look around the town of Confolens and its satellite village of St-Germain-de-Confolens.
