France's most dominant religion is Islam. France has the highest Islamic population in all of Europe. Many mosques are being built in place since the Islamic population is growing. Even some Catholic churches are being turned into mosques. Many people in France think that Islam is too influential on the community. Even some think that Islam will harm the country's identity. However, some think that Islam will help enrich the society. There has only been 20 churches built in the past decade for Christianity and has closed 60 churches which turned into mosques. Islam has a big impact on France now since it is growing immensely.

Islam is different from Christianity yet similar in many ways. They both have significant buildings and similar religious figures. However, Islamic rules are more strict. An Islamic person would be more limited in what they can do. Christianity also has rules, but their rules aren't as strict. France's culture is changing over time due to growing religions. Christianity is staying put while Islam is growing. The religion is France is shaping it as a country and it's growth is impacting the country. Many people in France think that Islam is bad to the country because they are becoming very large. Having a large amount of people in religion can greatly impact the country positively or negatively.
