After a couple of days lounging and taking a tour up into the hills we ended up at Peniscola on the coast. This was quite a nice town with a little castle and we had a great cycle ride down 15km of unspoilt coastline and then back again.
On to a camp site about 45km south of Barcelona where we left the van and took the train into the city. A great day, we walked miles and miles and I loved all the Gaudi architecture, especially the Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia. In the evening there were loads of people shopping and a long queue outside the Prada shop (not that I was going to go in there!). Unfortunately we didn't have nearly enough time (or energy) to see everything. I will definitely have to come back to Barcelona for a long weekend sometime.
We were so tired when we got back, we decide to eat in the restaurant on the camp site. I wasn't expecting it to be very good, but my dinner looked like it had come out of a couple of tins. Phil ordered rabbit, we are still undecided what he was given
but I suspect it may have been the four legged animal which failed to catch the rabbit!
We carried on up the coast and did the very wiggly bit through Tossa de Mar. As it was getting dark we decided to stop the night in one of the lay-bys. It was so quiet, only one car drove past all night.
Inland to Gerona, it is definitely beginning to feel colder here. Phil went and had a look around the town whilst I stayed in the van as my back wasn't too good. Back into France tomorrow!

Take me! me!
Just caught up with you again. The photos are first class. Glad you went to Barcelona on the train and did the "tourist trail". When you go back, I'd love to come with you. It's been at the top of my list for years. You're probably not looking forward to "kipping down" in Myrtle again in the cold and I'm so disappointed for you that the weather has changed to proper "winter". Hope all goes well on your return. Drive carefully and take care. Thinking of you. XXX
