France Day 5

Busy, Busy, Busy...Arrived in Paris Wednesday 6:45am. Continued all day...walking tour. By the time we got back to hotel had put in 10 miles.

Thursday a little calmer only put in 5 miles. Over both days saw all the best sites...Visited the Louvre,Arc de Triumphe, Versailles (Louis XIV was some kind of ego maniac) On Thursday night we visited the eiffel tower. We were going to climb up...40 flights but we were able to get the elevator... thank goodness.

Friday we took the high speed train to Nice...1st class...absolutely wonderful! It was so relaxing...about 51/2 hours. Everybody fell asleep. I did put my feet into the mediterranean.

Saturday we drove by bus to Monaco...gorgeous scenery. No changing of guard because of upcoming wedding of prince phillip. We stopped at a parfumerie. Very interesting! Of course couldn't leave without some purchases.
