Day 16
From the map today should of been a bigger day than yesterday. However we reached the top of our col, the Col De Peryesourde, feeling like we had just done a warm up. Consequently we arived in Bagneres-De-Luchon feeling like we hadnt really ridden anywhere.
Since we had time to kill we thought it would be a good idea to find a bike shop and get a new rack for stoph. We stopped at the first one we found and a really nice old french man found us a second hand rack and fitted it for us. It turns out that he knows the Scottish guy on the tour and knows lots of people in the French cycling scene. In the 20 mins we were there he boasted about knowing about 25 people involved with the tour de france or so!
With the Stoph’s rack fixed (mine is still holding up ok btw) we found some lunch then made our way down the valley to a small town called Cierp-Gaud and chilled in the sun for the rest of the afternoon, topping up our tans nicley!
