In the morning we went into Aubusson and had a very interesting tour around one of the factories producing hand made tapestries and carpets. They also refurbish tapestries. The work is very labour intensive with each item taking several months to complete.
After lunch we drove north west along D roads through some lovely towns to meet up with Richard and Joy Atkinson and their brother-in-law Eric Clarke who were delivering furniture to his house which is situated in a remote location 10k outside L’Isle-Jourdon.
We visited one of the local restaurants which is English owned for an excellent dinner.
