Oh my word, life is amazing.
So I left off at Switzerland, where I went on a beautiful hike and took many lovely photos. It was extremely relaxing and very soothing for the soul to be surrounded by just astounding beauty. Those Swiss alps seemed to breathe new life into everyone around them. They are magical.
So we had to say a sorrowful goodbye to Switzerland and as we left I had to shed a few tears for two reasons. Firstly because I knew that the whole experience could have been made so so much better with the love of my life by my side, and because my throat hurt as I was getting sick! Lol
So I now have a nasty full blown cold. Not cool.
So after we left, we headed south to avignon. The entire city is built inside these massive stone walls! The place was originally built for the french pope when the king decided he didn't want France to follow the roman pope anymore, so he made a pope just for France and built him the most amazing city to live and work in.
The cathedral is breathtakingly beautiful and if you have ever heard the French nursery rhyme pont d'avignon. The bridge in this city is based on it!
We had a great dinner in a little cafe and had amazing pizza! I went to bed early because I am so sick! It's no good.
Today we left Avignon and are now in the south of France in nice. It is the most beautiful place we have been so far!!! It's a tropical climate sitting on the mediterranian sea. Lemon trees, palm trees and mansions everywhere. Tonight we are driving in to Monaco to a casino to try our luck! Wish me luck! I will write tomorrow!
Love you,
C

Oh no!!
Oh honey i'm sorry you are so sick. :-( Geez couldn't you have at least waited until you got home?! I know not your choice to get sick to begin with. Remember to wash your hands frequently and use the anticeptic hand cleanser too. Did you get to eat some of the fruit you picked? I can only imagine how beautiful the alps really are. Looking forward to reading more of your travel adventure. love you mum xoxoxox
