I've been in Nice for almost two days now. The humidity is worse then the heat itself, all in all it's nice (ha...ha) here.
I arrived like 21.30 on sunday so I didn't get to do much then. Yesterday I spent at the beach with some people from Australia. I've been seeing lots of australian people here in France. Seems most of them are doing the
Busabout thing through europe. We also walked around in the old town with its market and winding streets with little shops all over. At evening I found this little Vietnamese restaurant, I was the only customer and had the full attention of the old man who appeared to own it. Has some very interesting food and a lesson about what it was 😊 Started with Vietnamese Ravioli, which are some kind of pork and black chinese mushrooms wrapped in rice sheet things. Didn't really taste much, but all the taste came from the chili you dipped then in. After that there were fried pork. You take a leaf of lettuce and put noodles, pork, pickles (cucumber, carrot, onions), chili and menth leaves, then you wrap it all up to a package and dip it in
Kate & Karen
Kate & Karen posing at the beach the chili stuff, it wasn't spectacular, but quite allright. Together with this there was a chimese beer that tasted like a mix of "normal" beer and the stuff made of wheat. For desert a classical fried banana, cooked in rice alcohol, delicious 😊
Today I've been walking up to the château with a view over the entire city. Walked down the other side and strolled around the harbour. Gonna go check out the jazz festival tonight.
