I'm going to be sad to leave Nice, not because the city is particularly special or anything. Dont get me wrong, Ive had a great time wandering allong the soast line, taking day trips to little midevil villages and lookig around tyhe very expensive Monaco, Its been a great time. But the thing thats made this place the best is the hostel that I've been staying at. Its fantastic, and I'm a little worried that all my other acomadation is going to go downhill from here. Mabey not, but this place is going to be hard to beat.
Right from the get go it was a cool place. Matt and I got into Nice having only a phone number of a place to call where we might be able to stay, so we called the number and hit paydirt, they had room to accomidate us for 3 nights. But getting there was like something out of a James Bond movie
"take the number 23 bus till the last stop, then get off and walk one block, at the first pay phone you see call this number" woman on the other line told us giving us yet another phone number to call. So we did what she said and called the next number on the pay phone we thought that we were supposed to be at. "behind you you will see a yellow pizza van, wait there for 5 minuetts, no more no les, a white van will come and the driver will ask you, do you like the baggetts in france, to which yo MUST reply "yes but i prefer the crossonts"
Ok mabey I'm embellising a bit, but they did go above and beyond to get us to the hostel and then maje sure that we were having a good time, wheather that be giving us advice and tips on what would be good trips to take, to giving us some free beers when were hanging out with the staff. this hostel was amazing
