We introduced Sharon to the metro and rer today. WE bought our weeks passes and boarded the train for Luxembourg gardens and the Pantheon. After a lovely stroll and photo session in the gardens we walked the few blocks to the Pantheon and enjoyed the lovely view back towards the Eiffel Tower.

The inscription above the grand entrance to the Pantheon AUX GRANDS HOMMES LA PATRIE RECONNAISSANTE translates "To great men the grateful Nation". Among thOSS buried here are Voltaire,Rousseau, Marat, Victor Hugo Louis Braille Marie Curie and It's Architect Soufflot.

Marty had read about a cafe on Rue St. Jaques she wanted to try so we found it and we're delighted by a lovely place where we dined on Beouf Bourgenon (beef stew) potatoes and creamy cabbage onion Artichoke side (YUMM!). Of course the Monsieur choose a lovely fruity white wine for us and we managed a Cafe' Creme with a Chocolate cake topped with Creme sauce....a Lemon Tart ( tart enough for Sharon!) and a caramel custard!!!!We are only eating one meal a day, so we are doing it right. The cafe' Le Coupe Torchon was a real find...can 't wait to return with Elizabeth and Shannon.

We walked awhile toward the Seine but decided to hop a metro part way back to stroll by Notre Dame on the Isle de Citi and across the bridges to Rue de Louvre .....had to take Sharon to see little Givernay (Gi Gi ) my little Paris puppy.

We are now at home...tired but comfy with a cup of hot tea planning our day for tomorrow. Good night from Hotel MarSon'.
