On Friday Greg was up at 5am, leaving for the airport by underground at 6 for his flight to Madrid. The rest of us then got up for a more dignified departure by taxi at 8am for St Pancras International train station. We left London at 1030 on the Eurostar arriving in Paris 2 and a half hours later. By the time we arrived at our apartment it was already 3pm so after settling in and finding a supermarket we only had time for a walk to the end of our street to see the Eiffel Tower. Saturday was also a relaxing day. We walked along the Seine to the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre, then back through the carnival where we bought a huge candyfloss! Emma wanted to picnic at the Eiffel Tower since yesterday evening we saw hundreds doing the same, so we joined the hundreds today, including many tour groups, at least 2 hens parties and several couples having wedding photos taken!
