Versailles. Built by the sun king, Louis the 14th of France, in order to have everyone important under one roof and make him the center of the palace's universe. The walls inside the bedchamber could move up or down, so that they were either windows or mirrors. Pretty creative and convenient.

My favorite part of Versailles is this Hamlet, consisting of 9 houses modeled after a Normandy village.

I seriously felt like I was in Disneyland. Everything was perfectly manicured and maintained, they have around 3,000 gardeners working at Versailles.
